Almost holiday time!!!

Hi!!

Well i have been absolutely manic since i went back to London to do the second part of my course. I will find out if i passed my theory paper when i do my final assessment next Wednesday. Fingers crossed i will pass them both, i have been typing up lesson plans and going over my routine to perfect it, i have also been covering shifts at the studio because the 1.30pmTtuesday afternoon classes have been cancelled til Sept, and doing my support work in the spaces in-between.

The weekend before last was Chris' birthday so i took him to Newquay for 4 days in the van, it was also the board riders festival. Though we didn't go to it, we went exploring in the rain instead to areas close by. We surfed on Sunday, did coasteering, rock climbing and absailing Monday with SaltAir then went Quad bike racing on Tuesday For Chris' Birthday. It was so much fun, but now i am skint! LOL

So since then i have been putting together my routine and i am going to practice my whole routine tonight, i tried to do it with Chris last night but he was too preoccupied with watching the footy than watching his feet on the grapevine!! LOL
Never mind, i have to teach my imaginary class tonight so i can really get it drilled into my head.

When we moved in to our flat last year, we found that after a couple of months we had a cheap little lodger who left us droppings instead of rent. After not hearing or seeing it for a few months we thought it may have gone, but not til last night!
I was in the lounge when something small and fast whizzed past the door and into the kitchen, so i rushed in to see what it was, and yes! It was the little mouse that moved in just after us. we chased it around the flat for about 40 mins, during this time the mouse had run over my hand and made me screem and chris had put socks ove his hands to prevent the mouse sctatching him if he caught it. Then he did catch it!! We put it in a tupperware and had a good look at the little sneak, and we noticed he had 3 normal feet and a stump for the other. So cute, we couldn't kill it so we threw it over the wall in the back garden. We heard the owl tooting all night last night so we reckon he had a tasty dinner which had been living our crumbs!

Chris and I have booked our 3 week surfing trip to France starting next Saturday. We are getting the ferry to Roscoff and driving the DUB along the west coast to search for those crystal clear waves that the French coast is famous for.

Right, have to get back to work.
Take care and may see you before or after i go away for a long deserved break with my lover

Back for a short time...

I arrived back in Plymouth on Monday evening after a grueling 7 day intensive theory and practical aerobics course, though i have only just got through the first half, i still have another 7 days to come starting on Monday and a theory exam next saturday and lots of practical assesments awaiting me all next week. I am loving the ETM course but my body is screaming to me to rest. I have been getting up at 5.30 to 6 am every morning to catch a train at 6.30 or 7am to get to London for 8.30am. i'm staying with a really good friend which is awesome but my what a journey everyday!

I was welcomed back enthusiasticslly by my man who greeting me with flowers and lots of kisses, then i got home and he made me an amazing dinner and desert and bought me a couple of dance movies to watch. he is just perfection! :-)
I didn't think it was humanly possible to miss someone so much, but now i know that it is, it hurts, but the wait is so worth it when i come back ;->

I went back to work yesterday (Tuesday) for my 1.30pm session which the lovely Hayley coverd for me last week, then i had a private class and a quick catch up with Sam and Jo before heading home. It sounds like i have and will be missing heaps of cool stuff thats been going on which you will read about on their blogs. But i will be going to the Flashdance muscial with the whole crew on Friday which i am really looking forward to.

Hopefully we will be having another Parkour class with the wicked Rob Green, it was so much fun i definately recommend it for anyone who wants to feel like they have not a care in the world and be free as a kid again. I just laughed the whole way through, i will definately get my man to give it ago with me soon too.

I have to head off again now to do my revision, i was going to spend my day doing some practical work, but when i got my head in my folder last night with all the theory i need to memorise, i decided that theory is definately a priority today, hopefully will get my aerobics head on tomorrow after a refreshing surf tonight.

Until next time, take care and keep up the Bruise of the month pictures coming in, they are truely eye opening and reminds us all how hard pole dncing really is :-)

What a carry on???!!

Today is Sunday, i am going to teach one hour and fifteen minutes of extreme stretching and core strengthening in just one hour, but i just had to say how disappointed i was with Mellow wave.

I had arranged to pick up a mini mal in Bude at 10.30am Saturday morning, Chris and i miss judged the time so i called ahead to Steve the board shaper that we would be about 30 mins late and if that was ok, he said it was fine so we made our way there. We got to bude at 10.50am, just 20 mins late. I called Steve to ask him which number his place was, his son answered to tell us that "Steve has gone out and won't be back til 2pm, so could we come back then?"

Urm, no! we will not! We had just spent an hour driving up there especially to get this board, i had woken at 8am on a Saturday morning especially for this, and i didn't even get a call to say that he was going out or if we could come later or "sorry" that he could not wait for us. I was extremely annoyed to say the least, so instead we carried on driving down to Newquay and had the best customer service and dedication possible to give.

A really sweet guy from the Boardwalk shop gave us loads of info about the boards and explained about each one, i chose the one i wanted with the dimentions best suited for my ability and body size, then he took us around to the adjoining shops so i could choose from a huge selection of traction pads and leash. He did this in such a friendly and laid back way that i definately knew i wanted to spend my money at this shop.

I still don't know how one surf board sales person can be so different from the other, you can form your own oppinions, i just wanted to say that if you were looking to buy a surf board or anything that is important to you, don't buy from people who don't care about how you are treated and what you are buying, because you will always remember when/ how/ why you bought it and who you bought it from.

Have a great week

Celebrations!!

I'm so stoked, i finally sold my car today!! Woohooo!!

I have been taking the 1.30pm classes on Tuesday which have been great fun.

I have a flexibility master class on Sunday (29th June) at 12pm til 1.15pm, so you will have 15 more minutes or stretchy time!

I will be taking the 6.15pm class on Monday and the 7.30 induction class as Sam and Jo are skiving! I'm really looking forward to those two classes as i don't get to see too many of the regular students anymore as i am no longer on reception due to my busy support work schedule.

This weekend i'm hoping for some awesome surf as i may be purchasing a new board on Saturday in Bude from the company mellow wave who shape their own boards. They seem really nice so fingers crossed my board will be wicked!

I'm still looking forward to those photos Rosanna has on her camera from RTTS, Chris and I have been waiting with patience and anticipation! It would be great to have a pole Jam with all the crew too, it feels like it has been ages :-(

Well i'm off to do some house work before my man arrives home from work.

Take care and hope to see you soon xxx

More hecticness!

Well its been a few weeks but now im back again to let you know whats been going on with me :-)

First off, Run To The Sun was an awesome weekend with Rosanna, we danced on the main stage at Trevelgue holiday park til 4am Friday to Sunday night. I had numerous bruises from trying my hardest to grip the pole with sweat and bright lights trying to hinder my performance. Luckily i had on my Nomis gloves i purchased from theartofdance.co.uk, without them it would have been 10 times harder to get any grip on the pole.

I then spent the next weekend in London being filmed on eggheads, i can't let you know much about it until it airs but i know we made quite an impression at the BBC studio! Will keep you informed when it will be shown, just watch out for the Flexi Funksters!!!

The following weekend was the Art of Dance social at the wonderful Annabels in Plymouth, everyone who performed gave an exceptional show, i feel like i need to do some serious training to keep up with everyone, i was completely wowed by all dancers!

I gave my flexibility class on Saturday just gone, i made a point of working on core strength and flexibility. I even felt the burn the next day in my abs, and it was good!
Keep your eyes peeled for the next of the flexibilty classes!!

I am back on the 1.30pm Tuesday classes at the HQ studio in Plymouth, i have missed teaching so am eager to get back into it and see everyone again. My other job has been taking alot of my time as it is long hours and very demanding, support work isn't for the faint hearted!

Until next time, take care and see you soon :-)

Hectic!!!!

Hi all,
Im so sorry i have been slack with informing you all of my whera abouts and doings, etc. I have been studying very hard as my first exam is a week today. i am so nervous and worried but i am trying to put in the effort (facebook keeps distracting me!) so i should do fine. Im just about to revise now so i thought i would just give you a quick low down on my events.

I have been teaching tuesdays classes at 1.30pm, these are great and a fab study break. The girls are doing well and improving incredibly. I unfortunately will not be teaching the next two Tuesday because of exams but i will be back after then. I have also been up to my usual tricks with the UPPDC classes on Wednesday, they are going well and have been really good for the girls to get out of their studying time table. A good dance is a great stress reliever!

I am teaching another flexibility class this Saturday at 12.30pm, it will be very similar to the last class, lots of excessive stretching so make sure you book now and come on an empty stomach :-)

I am now off to revise the dreaded chemistry!!
Take care and i hope to see you soon xxxxxx
